Why we stock it

What this won't do

It won't keep you from getting sick. Nothing on our shelf does that, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. This supports the system that handles it — it doesn't stand in for sleep, food, and washing your hands.

You also probably won't feel anything, and that's normal. This is a background, take-it-daily product, not something with a noticeable kick. Judge it over months, not days.

• Rose Hips (10:1 extract) — 65mg
• BioPerine black pepper extract — 5mg

How it works, if you want the detail

Quercetin is a flavonoid — the same family of plant compounds that makes onions, capers and apples worth eating. It's studied as an antioxidant and for immune and cardiovascular support.

The catch is absorption. Quercetin on its own has poor bioavailability, meaning a large share of what you swallow never makes it into circulation. That's the single biggest reason cheap quercetin products disappoint people.

Bromelain is an enzyme from pineapple stem, dosed here at 2,400 GDU/g — GDU is a measure of how much protein-digesting activity it actually has, and printing that number instead of just "bromelain" is a transparency thing most brands skip. BioPerine is a standardized black pepper extract used to slow how fast your body clears certain compounds, which keeps more of them around longer.

The vitamin C, rose hips and citrus bioflavonoids round out the antioxidant side. Rose hips are a natural vitamin C source and the bioflavonoids come from orange peel — they work alongside vitamin C rather than duplicating it.

How to take it

3 capsules daily, between meals. Pick a time you won't skip — mid-morning or mid-afternoon works for most people, since it's meant to be away from food. Adults 18 and over.

Common questions

Why between meals? That's what the label calls for. It's about absorption, not about your stomach.

Can I take it with my multivitamin? Yes, though watch your total vitamin C if your multi is already loaded. It's water soluble, so extra mostly just leaves.

Is there a difference between this and the cheap quercetin online? Dose and absorption, mainly. 800mg with bromelain and BioPerine is a different product than 250mg by itself.
